A Big Imperial Stout Aged on an Oak Caribbean Rum Barrel

The concept for this beer was dreamed up with friends over a weekend long beer tour in Traverse City, Michigan. Discussion and dreaming continued over another beer tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan and one more on the “Makers and Shakers” tour in Lansing, Michigan. A lot of thought and ambition went into this particular beer, The goal was to create a big, barrel aged, imperial stout that would sock it to you in flavor and complexity. Mission accomplished.
